Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Fire Control Associate in Sterling Heights, MI. This 100% onsite contract role focuses on embedded software for a ground combat vehicle program, spanning requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration.

The candidate will work across domains, support development environments, and collaborate with Systems Engineering, PM, and QA teams while leading Agile Scrum ceremonies and delivering software releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1+ year of experience in a related role.
• Fire Control experience.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, and Python.
• Experience working in mixed operating system environments and protocols.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and test a new software development environment to create documentation, code, test artifacts, and other work products.
• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains such as board support, displays, power management, and diagnostics.
• Perform software requirements analysis.
• Develop preliminary and detailed software designs using department-standard tools.
• Develop software designs that influence overall vehicle architecture.
• Develop code in accordance with department standards and procedures.
• Develop test procedures and perform unit and functional testing of executable software.
• Perform hardware/software integration.
• Debug software issues identified during testing.
• Provide development status updates to software project leads.
• Integrate software releases across multiple CSCIs into overall vehicle software releases.
• Interface with Systems Engineering, Project Management, Software Quality, and other departments.
• Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies, including daily Scrum, PI Planning, retrospectives, and demos.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
