Job summary

Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Fire Control Senior for a 100% onsite role in Sterling Heights, MI. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle for embedded applications on a new ground combat vehicle program.

The role requires Fire Control and embedded software experience, with hands-on work across multiple domains and collaboration with Systems Engineering, PM, and QA. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Fire Control and embedded software experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in mixed OS environments: VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, virtualization, BSPs, GVOS.
• Experience with serial/network protocols: RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP.
• Experience with DDS, Kafka, or other publish/subscribe middleware.
• Experience with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) architectures.
• Experience with NGVA/UKGVA data models.
• Ground vehicle architecture exposure (GCIA, MOSA, SOSA, FACE).
• Experience with Agile processes and tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and test a new software development environment.
• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains.
• Perform software requirements analysis.
• Develop preliminary and detailed software designs.
• Develop code per department standards.
• Create test procedures and perform unit/functional testing.
• Perform hardware/software integration.
• Debug software issues across testing phases.
• Provide development status updates to leads.
• Integrate releases across CSCIs into vehicle software releases.
• Interface with Systems Engineering, PM, Software Quality, and other teams.
• Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
