Job summary

Jobot in Anaheim, CA is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team. This permanent role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing embedded software systems for next-generation products.

You will work on firmware development, performance optimization, and integration with hardware. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of operating systems, PetaLinux, Recipe, Bitbake, and strong C++ skills, with 5+ years in embedded software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software engineering experience.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
• Solid programming experience in C++.
• Experience with OS concepts, PetaLinux, Recipe and Bitbake.
• Experience with preemptive, multitasking RTOS in embedded systems.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools and defect tracking.
• Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols and hardware subsystems.
• Adept at reading schematics and data sheets for components.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be working on cutting-edge technologies to design, develop, and enhance embedded software systems. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from developing firmware for our next generation of products to optimizing our existing systems. • 9. Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
• 10. Strong documentation and writing skills.
