Jobot is seeking an in-person Engineering Manager in Northern Virginia to lead distributed systems reliability tooling. You will continue writing code, shape architecture, and guide engineers while maintaining a high engineering bar.

This hands-on leadership role requires collaborating with a skilled team in a collaborative, in-office setting five days a week. Salary ranges from $200,000 to $250,000 per year.

Job Details

We're hiring Engineering Managers to help scale our core engineering teams. These are hands-on technical leadership roles, not positions where management replaces engineering. You'll continue writing code, contribute to architecture, and work through difficult technical problems with the engineers you lead. You'll also be responsible for setting direction, developing your team, driving delivery, and maintaining a high engineering bar.

Team placement will be based on fit. Although the problems differ across groups, we're looking for the same qualities in every Engineering Manager: technical depth, strong people leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to execute quickly without compromising critical systems or engineering quality.

User Experience

Develops the customer-facing web and SaaS product experience.

Owns developer experience, observability, reliability, infrastructure-as-code, and internal database infrastructure.
