Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II for embedded radar applications. The role focuses on real-time embedded software development for various radar modes and capabilities within the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and participate in program and customer reviews to drive technical decisions and quality improvements.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Development experience coding in C, C++, ADA or related languages/tools.
Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS.

Responsibilities

Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
Contribute at all phases of the software development lifecycle, including software/hardware integration.
Develop real-time embedded software for radar modes and capabilities.
Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
Collaborate with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external.
Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews.
Support team leads with technical decisions and problem resolution.
Help ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, and quality.
