Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineer II (Embedded / Radar) in El Segundo, CA to join a Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar team. You will develop RT embedded software for radar modes, work across lifecycle stages, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.

The role requires a STEM degree with at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance. Onsite work at the El Segundo campus is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
• Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Develop RT embedded SW for radar modes and capabilities.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues to develop solutions.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across disciplines, internal and external.
• Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews.
• Support technical decision making and problem resolution.
• Ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, and quality.
