Job summary

Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II (Embedded / Radar) to join the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group. You will develop RT embedded software for radar modes and work across the full software lifecycle onsite at our El Segundo campus.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, with opportunities to advance to higher clearance levels. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools.
• Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with minimal guidance.
• Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
• Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external.
• Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews.
• Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
• Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
