Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Battery Energy Transfer organization. This role focuses on embedded software for electrified vehicles, including power-electronics control and energy-transfer functions such as onboard charging and vehicle-to-everything capabilities.

You will design, implement, integrate, and validate production-quality software enabling safe energy transfer between vehicle, battery, and charging infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/EE or related field.
• 2+ years automotive embedded software experience.
• Production-oriented C/C++ software development.
• RTES, interfaces, diagnostics, and integration knowledge.
• Translate requirements into design, implementation and tests.
• Experience with debugging, integration and CI/testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for power-electronics and energy-transfer apps.
• Design software for AC/DC charging, DC/DC conversion, regulation, and fault handling.
• Translate system requirements into maintainable software designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver integrated solutions.
• Support architecture, interface definitions, and traceability from system to code and tests.
• Follow MISRA-aligned development and automotive best practices.
