Job summary

General Motors in Michigan is seeking a Design Release Engineer to oversee power electronics hardware and software interfaces in the Onboard Charging Module (OBCM). You will apply DFSS, lead DFMEA, and coordinate with Tier 1/2 suppliers to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires managing validation plans, reviewing software results, and ensuring on-time delivery of high-voltage charging components for advancing software-defined vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical/Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of experience in design release, structural/CAE engineering or related role.
• Experience with DFMEA, design reviews, and engineering change processes.

Responsibilities

• Design release engineering and component integration for OBCM.
• Lead DFMEA and design reviews to ensure robust solutions.
• Coordinate with Tier 1/2 suppliers and validate software and hardware in CICVAD.
