Pave Talent is recruiting on behalf of a venture-backed robotics company to hire an embedded Linux engineer who owns the OS layer end to end, including kernel, BSP, networking, build system, and automation. You will work onsite with hardware in Philadelphia.

You will own embedded Linux across multiple hardware platforms (NVIDIA Jetson modules and JetPack SDKs), patch and configure the kernel, manage board support packages, and build reproducible images, while collaborating directly with

• Strong programming in C++ and Python with solid Bash scripting.
• Hands-on kernel development experience and patching.
• Experience with Yocto or custom Linux distributions for embedded systems.
• Familiar with cross-compilation, board support packages, and device trees.
• Proficient with debugging tools like gdb, strace, perf, and Valgrind.

Responsabilidades

• Own embedded Linux across multiple hardware platforms, including NVIDIA Jetson modules and JetPack.
• Define and maintain kernel configs, DT sources, and BSPs for new compute and sensor hardware.
• Build reproducible images and manage cross-compilation toolchains.
• Troubleshoot boot failures, kernel panics, and hardware interface issues in lab.
• Collaborate directly with hardware, software, and QA teams; document architecture for reuse.
