Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security seeks an Associate or Mid-Level Hardware & Software Integration Engineer for Starfire Optical Range on Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. You will work on hardware/software integration, DSP, and embedded control systems within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an active U.S. Secret/Top Secret eligibility, a BS in engineering, and 2+ years of related experience. Relocation is offered; onsite work is required with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required or ability to obtain.
• BS in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical) or related field.
• 2+ years hardware/software integration experience.
• 1+ years FPGA embedded systems experience.
• 1+ years software/firmware development in LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++.
• 1+ years performance analysis using MATLAB or Mathematica.
• Willingness to work variable shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends).

Responsibilities

• Support hardware and software R&D projects for electro-optical systems.
• Develop specifications for firmware and software architectures.
• Research algorithms and implementation approaches.
• Design and validate hardware components and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain software code; integrate into a full system.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues; support tests and documentation.
• Interface custom/off-the-shelf hardware with multiple platforms; design motion control systems.
• Create GUIs on networked systems for control and telemetry.
