Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security seeks an embedded test and evaluation engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the Starfire Optical Range team at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on setting up, configuring, and maintaining embedded test environments for electro-optical systems, with on-site responsibilities and security clearances.

Candidates will support hardware, firmware, and software development, perform various testing methods, and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret clearance (post start).
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience testing embedded systems in a lab environment.
• 2+ years programming in Python, Java, C, C++, MATLAB.
• Willingness to work variable shifts including days, evenings, nights & weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure test environments for embedded systems.
• Support firmware and software R&D projects.
• Develop test tools and scripts for verification.
• Implement unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Test and validate firmware components; troubleshoot issues.
• Document test results and verify embedded system requirements.
