Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security seeks an Associate/Mid-Level/Lead Controls Matlab & Simulink Engineer for the Starfire Optical Range at Kirtland AFB, NM. You will join a multidisciplinary team developing and validating control solutions for advanced electro-optical systems.

Required are strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, control theory expertise, and ability to obtain U.S. security clearances. Expect on-site work, HIL/SIL testing, and real-time software deployment with Speedgoat/NI platforms.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Control Theory and Design
• 2+ years with MATLAB and Simulink
• Willingness to work variable shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends)

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mathematical modeling, simulation, and data analysis
• Analyze system behavior, including stability and transient responses
• Design, develop, and implement advanced control strategies
• Analyze data from real-world systems to refine control algorithms
• Develop and validate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms
• Execute HIL/SIL tests for algorithm validation
• Create and instrument real-time applications from Simulink models
• Deploy models on Speedgoat or NI real-time hardware
