Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. seeks an Embedded Flight Software Engineer 2 to deliver real-time capabilities for an embedded flight control system on the Vulcan rocket. You will join a hands‑on team and contribute across the software lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a STEM field, C/C++ and Python experience, and familiarity with Linux. Collaborative, agile work environment with opportunities to mentor others and participate in design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited college.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python for embedded programming/robotics.
• Experience with Object Oriented Design and Linux.
• Experience with software configuration management (Git).
• Interest in AI-assisted tooling in development.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on developer delivering real-time embedded flight control software.
• Design, develop and document software across the full lifecycle.
• Refine requirements, design subsystems, implement code, test.
• Collaborate in an agile environment to support flight software.
• Engage with product owners, architects, QA and automation teams.
• Mentor less‑experienced engineers to grow skills.
