Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking a Launch Systems & Real-Time Controls Software Engineer 2 to maintain and develop software for cryogenic fueling of spacecraft.

You will work in an Agile team, collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and others to design, develop, and test cutting-edge software solutions. You will support the Ground Software Fluids team, delivering capabilities to meet strict real-time requirements and ensure successful launch preparations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field from an accredited college or university
• Experience working on an agile development team
• Experience presenting hardware / software / system architecture and designs to both internal audiences as well as external customers
• Experience in authoring, executing and reviewing software products and their implementation
• Experience with object‑oriented designs and languages
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with Software Configuration Management practices including Git
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Software Design Principles
• Configuration Management practices and tools such as Git
• Agile Methodologies

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop software/hardware products for cryogenic fueling of spacecraft
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with Product Owners and Architects
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for real-time control systems
• Support ground software fluids team to meet hard real-time requirements
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software
