Job summary
United Launch Alliance is seeking a Launch Systems & Real-Time Controls Software Engineer 2 to maintain and develop software and firmware for cryogenic fueling of spacecraft. You will work within an Agile team to design, implement, and test modern software solutions, collaborating with product owners and architects to deliver real-time command/control capabilities for propulsion and ground support systems.
The role emphasizes hands-on development, technical leadership, and strong communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited college/university
- Experience working on an agile development team
- Experience presenting hardware/software/system architecture to internal and external audiences
- Experience in authoring, executing and reviewing software products and their implementations
- Experience with object-oriented designs and languages including C/C++
- Knowledge of Software Configuration Management including Git
- Experience with CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop software/hardware for cryogenic fueling of spacecraft
- Work in an Agile environment delivering innovative software solutions
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for the Ground Software Fluids team
- Ensure mission-critical software supports launch vehicle manufacturing, preflight tests and launch countdown
