Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. represents a client in North Syracuse, NY seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to design and maintain firmware for 8/16/32‑bit microcontrollers.

You will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to deliver robust control systems for HVAC/R and industrial applications. Requires hands‑on embedded C development, debugging bare‑metal firmware, and strong hardware‑software integration skills.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on embedded C firmware experience required.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, peripherals, and hardware interfaces.
• Experience debugging bare‑metal embedded firmware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
• Develop firmware for 8/16/32‑bit microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development, integration and troubleshooting.
• Document code and participate in design reviews.
