Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer in North Syracuse, NY. This onsite role focuses on designing, developing, and validating firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and test engineers, writing embedded C, debugging, and implementing control logic for sensors, relays, motors, and more. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, peripherals, and hardware interfaces.
• Experience developing and debugging bare-metal embedded firmware.
• Ability to troubleshoot interactions between firmware and electronic hardware.
• Comfortable explaining previous embedded projects, technical challenges, and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C programming.
• Develop firmware for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers.
