Job summary
The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join its North Syracuse team. You will design and maintain embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications, collaborating with hardware, mechanical, and test engineers.
This hands-on role emphasizes debugging, testing, and production readiness, including sensor interfaces, real-time interrupts, and peripherals. Relocation assistance is available; onsite work is required.
Qualifications
- Hands-on embedded C experience required.
- Experience with microcontrollers, interrupts, timers and peripherals.
- Experience debugging bare-metal firmware.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware in C.
- Develop firmware for 8/16/32-bit MCUs.
- Create control logic for sensors, relays, motors.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development.
- Debug with oscilloscopes and lab equipment.
- Support new product development, testing, and validation.
- Troubleshoot existing products and drive improvements.
- Document code and participate in design reviews.
