Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Wooster, Ohio is seeking an Electrical Software Design Engineer in the Schaeffler Special Machinery department to develop and commission control software for manufacturing automation and to design embedded systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, Fanuc robots, machine vision, and PLC hardware integration; travel up to 50% as needed; bachelor’s degree required; at least one year of experience; strong

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or controls engineering related field.
Minimum one year of practical experience.
Advanced engineering & physics knowledge.
Strong knowledge of systems integration strategies, concepts, and techniques.
External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop and commission control software for manufacturing automation processes.
Cooperate with engineers from other disciplines to coordinate software interfaces.
Develop control software and design embedded systems for project realization.
Travel to various sites for customer service support, up to 50% travel.
