Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking an Embedded Service Technician II to deliver on-site AV service and support for client installations. You will manage maintenance, setup conference spaces, and troubleshoot audio/video systems while coordinating with service management and client teams.

You should have 2–4 years in commercial AV, knowledge of control systems, and proficiency with Windows/Mac and iOS devices. Travel may be required; safety is prioritized on every site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in Commercial AV
• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control
• Experience with Control systems (Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, Extron) is required
• Advanced computer skills on PC and Mac; familiarity with Windows/Mac OS apps
• Familiarity with Apple iOS products for interfacing with integrated networks
• Solid understanding of pre-wire, trim, final phases, and safety on job sites
• Industry certifications such as Biamp Tesira Forte, Q-SYS Level 1, Dante Level 1, Extron EAVA, CTS
• Ability to read device layout drawings, schematics, and provide redline corrections

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on AV equipment and cables
• Set up and breakdown conference spaces for events
• Provide on-site support for video/audio systems and recording tasks
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to uphold company values
• Configure and troubleshoot AV/presentation systems on site
• Provide job-site documentation and end-user training when needed
• Adhere to local safety standards at all sites
