Job summary

Scope Labs in New York City is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with startup customers, owning the full technical relationship from day one and delivering meaningful updates within weeks.

You will deploy cutting-edge AI tooling into real startup workflows, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and navigate ambiguous environments with autonomy and strong judgment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript with a track record of shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI tooling (LLMs, AI agents, or AI-native tools) into real workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the full technical customer lifecycle from deployment to activation and ongoing value realization.
• Identify and champion high-impact AI use cases with startup engineering teams and ship integrations.
• Represent the customer voice internally to shape roadmap with Product and Engineering teams.
