Job summary

OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with customers to turn research breakthroughs into production AI systems. We embed deeply with users to solve high-leverage problems, especially in legal workflows, and move quickly from prototype to deployment.

You will own the technical work from discovery through production adoption, turning deployments into repeatable patterns that scale across larger accounts and the broader legal market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, ML engineering, or technical deployment work with customer ownership in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand workflows and identify high-value use cases.
• Build full-stack systems delivering customer value and learnings.
• Guide adoption with customer teams and translate needs into product feedback.
• Balance scope, speed, and quality to protect delivery.
• Contribute code when needed and create reusable patterns for scale.
• Share field feedback to help improve models and risk posture.
