Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications.
• Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts and translate workflows into engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory systems concepts.
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration concepts.
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering or embedded technical advisory roles, ideally in compliance-tech or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Compliance leadership to surface automation opportunities across workflows like transaction monitoring and regulatory change management.
• Prototype quickly using Coinbase's AI platform as the baseline before new builds.
• Own the Compliance automation roadmap in partnership with leadership and translate workflows into engineering requirements.
• Define the build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling and determine what to build, buy, or retire.
• Ensure outputs are traceable, auditable, and defensible to regulators with proper controls.
• Drive adoption through brown-bags and prototype walkthroughs to ensure tools are used.
