Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a VIP Travel Consultant to manage travel for our most exclusive VIP clients, including business executives and celebrities. You’ll advise and arrange travel in the US and internationally, leveraging your native GDS experience with Sabre, Apollo, or Amadeus.

Qualifications

• Native GDS expertise with Sabre, Apollo or Amadeus
• 3+ years corporate travel experience, including fares, ticketing, car, hotel, air and rail
• Excellent professional communication (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity and protect traveler information
• Resolve customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups) in the US
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Use of one of our Global Distribution System's (GDS) Sabre, Apollo, or Amadeus
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Prevent fraudulent callers from trying to book trips afterhours by following our security protocols.
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels
