Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a VIP Support Technician to deliver high‑level IT support to NIH VIP staff. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and mobile devices across Windows, macOS, and Linux/UNIX, ensuring secure, compliant operations in a fast‑paced, high visibility environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years providing VIP/executive IT support.
• Hands-on Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX administration.
• Security/compliance experience including patching and antivirus.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to make rapid decisions in high-pressure environments.
• MDM experience with JAMF, BigFix or Intune.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated, priority IT support to NIH VIP and executive staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Maintain VIP laptops, desktops, tablets and peripherals.
• Support Windows 11, macOS, and Linux/UNIX environments.
• Support iOS and Android devices in enterprise contexts.
• Coordinate with IT teams to deploy solutions and resolve issues.
• Improve computing efficiency through automation and proactive solutions.
• Ensure IT security compliance including antivirus maintenance.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to all audiences.
• Make rapid, sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Manage mobile devices using MDM platforms (JAMF, BigFix, Intune).
• Provide full endpoint support across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
