Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking an Advanced Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees near power lines, ensuring vegetation safety and tree health. Role requires climbing, equipment operation, and manual handling of limbs with rigging lines.

Candidate should have 1 year of trimming experience, a valid CDL (A or B) and CPR/First-Aid certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days. Must meet safety and regulatory standards and be willing to work overtime, including storm duty.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tree trimming or clearing crews.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have First-Aid and CPR or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• CDL license (A or B) required; DOT medical card per FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs; trims, removes or felled trees using climbing gear and ground tools.
• Works aloft to cut branches and lower them using rigging lines.
• Follows safety policies, assists with vehicle and equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Operates and maintains PPE and equipment; performs distance and hydraulic control of debris.
• Directs traffic and protects the work area with signs, barriers and signals.
• Works in proximity to energized power lines; coordinates with foreperson and other crew members.
