Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to assess language functioning, disorders and their impact on learning, and to develop and implement intervention strategies to support student communication and progress.

The role involves consultation with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding IEP design and service delivery, with emphasis on collaboration and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas License in Speech Language Pathology or valid Texas Education Agency certification as required by statutes.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assess language functioning and communication disorders to determine impact on instruction.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to reduce interference with learning.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and staff on IEP design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings related to student learning and services.
  • Maintain records, reports, and case documentation per district guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing professional growth and collaborate with district staff.
