Job summary

Daisy Orange County is seeking a skilled Daisy Care technician to manage the technical side of projects after completion, providing on-site service under a contract. You will review systems, create notes and surveys, identify issues for new installs, and ensure client satisfaction with up-to-date service desk information.

The role requires travel across the tri-state area, strong AV, control-system, and networking knowledge, and the ability to educate clients while delivering top-tier service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience working within residential AV smart home automation.
• Flexibility to travel to multiple site locations in tri-state area (NYC, Long Island, CT, NJ).
• Strong knowledge of AV distribution concepts and equipment (HDMI, Dante).
• Knowledge of IR, RS-232, and network control protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and proficient in time management.
• Comfortable interacting with VIP clientele in fast-paced environments.
• Mastery of control systems including Crestron, Savant, and Control4.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client needs by performing diagnostics on system issues.
• Reporting of problems and testing of systems.
• Test AV signal flow and programming.
• Ensure functionality of control systems.
• Provide guidance on how to optimize, repair, or upgrade technology.
• Educate clients and provide tutorials to ensure high service levels.
• Liaise with clients to schedule appointments and determine technical needs.
• Assist service desk with tickets and cross-functional collaboration.
• Document pre/post visit notes and client interactions in a timely manner.
• Support sales and design with surveys, proposals, and related needs.
• On-call weekend rotation is required.
