Job summary

Life Time in Edina, MN is seeking a Personal Trainer who can build safe, effective fitness plans, guide clients through sessions, and foster productive coaching relationships. You will assess goals, design customized programs, and promote sessions while maintaining top-quality customer service.

This role requires a certified trainer with CPR/AED, a high school diploma, and at least one year of experience. You’ll stay current on fitness trends and help members attain lasting results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of personal training experience.
• Certified personal Trainer.
• CPR and AED Certified.
• Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition and program design.
• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention.
• Instructs clients during sessions on safe and effective use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Reads, watches, and engages in required training associated with the role.
• Conducts fitness consultations including pre-participation screening, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting.
• Provides fitness floor assistance to ensure safety, educate, and motivate members.
• Fulfils member service requirements such as fitness assessments, equipment operations, and desk duties.
• Promotes and sells personal training programs and services.
• Completes administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan.
• Stays current on certifications and industry trends.
