Placements24 is seeking experienced Long‑Distance Truck Drivers to operate from Upington, Northern Cape. This role requires handling heavy vehicles, planning efficient routes, and maintaining strict safety records as you move goods across provinces in South Africa.

The ideal candidate will have a PDP and Code 14, at least 6 years of driving with 4 years in long‑haul work, and a proven, clean driving history. Training and ongoing development are provided in a stable company environment.

Formación

• Minimum 6 years of professional driving experience, with at least 4 years in long‑distance or interprovincial driving.
• Valid PDP and Code 14 license.
• Impeccable driving record with no major accidents or violations.
• Thorough knowledge of SA road networks and long‑haul practices.
• Ability to plan routes and adhere to schedules; strong time management.

Responsabilidades

• Operate heavy‑duty trucks for long‑distance transport between provinces.
• Load and secure cargo per specs; perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
• Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel use, and delivery details.
• Communicate with dispatch and clients about delays or route changes.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly.
• Ensure truck cleanliness and professional appearance.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety protocols.
