Formación

• Code 14/PDP license required and valid.
• Minimum 7 years of long-haul truck driving experience.
• Impeccable driving record with no major infringements.
• Experience with specialized cargo handling and securing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of South African road networks and regulations.
• Ability to drive extended periods and stay away from home.
• Proficiency with ELD systems.
• Pass a medical examination and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Operate heavy-duty long-haul trucks for interstate and inter-provincial transportation.
• Safely load, secure, and unload specialized cargo according to protocols.
• Plan and execute efficient and safe long-distance routes.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD records for driving hours and mileage.
• Adhere to all national and provincial traffic laws and regulations.
• Ensure cargo security and integrity during transport.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding status, delays, and issues.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep cab clean.
• Represent the company professionally with clients.
