Placements24 is seeking a skilled Professional Driver to join our fleet in Upington for long-distance freight transportation. Responsibilities include route planning, safety checks, and timely cargo delivery with adherence to regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of long-haul experience, a valid Code 10 with PDP, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently on extended trips. Accommodation is provided during long-haul trips.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for long-distance freight transportation, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Plan and manage routes effectively, adhering to strict delivery schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and cargo integrity.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams regarding route status and any issues encountered.
