Job summary

Zuma in Miami is seeking a ZumaSteward/Dishwasher to help maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area for guests and staff. You will wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and assist with general cleaning and organization in a fast-paced setting.

We value teamwork, a passion for Japanese cuisine, and a friendly, customer-focused approach. Prior kitchen experience is a plus, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume restaurant kitchen preferred.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using dishwashing machines or by hand, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions and guidelines.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas according to established procedures and schedules.
• Assist with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces in kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and storage areas, ensuring supplies are properly stocked and organized.
