Job summary

VEG ER for Pets seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency care team. You will handle cases from minor to critical, collaborating with doctors to provide empathetic, gold-standard care for pets and their families.

You'll be involved in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, with opportunities for learning and career advancement in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited veterinary tech program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support for emergencies.
• Assist triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
• Administer meds, IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and monitoring.
• Communicate with team and help plan care.
• Perform CPR as needed and assist with advanced procedures.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Assist anesthesia for fragile patients as required.
• Utilize advanced techniques like central lines and ultrasounds.
