Job summary

Thunder Valley Casino Resort is seeking a Cafe Cook to prepare hot breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes, pizzas, pastas, salads, and deli items in a high-volume kitchen.

You will stock stations, maintain temperatures, follow SOPs, and support safety standards while delivering consistent quality and timely service. Two years in a culinary role, ability to read tickets, strong teamwork and communication are required; California Food Handlers Certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the culinary industry.
• Ability to work hands-on in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Great attention to detail to maintain kitchen standards.
• Must read tickets and organize production in a timely manner.
• Effective communication with guests, team members and management.
• Must be 18+ and able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s service standards.
• Prepare food according to daily meal plan, including hot foods and pizza station.
• Prepare and cook food in a timely manner according to daily needs.
• Assist with daily and monthly inventories.
• Attend daily pre-shift team meetings.
• Communicate with management and Stewarding on equipment needs.
