Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Proficiency in braising, sautéing, broiling, and poaching.
• Proficiency with slicer, mixer, robo coupe, tongs, chef’s knife, bread knife, paring knife, steel, high heat spatula, turner, and whisk.
• Knowledge of sanitary practices.
• Must be able to pass drug screening and applicable auditions or skill testing.
• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
• Formal culinary training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the Valley View Casino’s Standards of Excellence.
• Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints.
• Provide guidance to team members and delegate tasks to meet deadlines.
• Train lower-level cooks in proper equipment usage.
• Prepare all food items according to recipes to ensure consistency.
• Exhibit knowledge of various cooking techniques and proper stock/sauce preparation.
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain station cleanliness and inventory.
