Job summary

Makeready is seeking a Banquets & Catering Captain to lead banquet operations for meetings, weddings, and events, ensuring flawless service and guest satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Banquet Manager, culinary team, and event staff to coordinate setup, service, and teardown in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of banquet or hospitality leadership, with strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years of banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service standards, food & beverage operations, and event execution.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with attention to detail.
• Exceptional guest service orientation and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet service teams during meetings, weddings, and events to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Coordinate event setup, execution, and breakdown according to BEOs and client expectations.
• Assign duties, direct workflow, and support banquet staff throughout each function.
• Ensure banquet rooms, buffets, bars, and stations are prepared and maintained.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
