Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Charleston, SC seeks an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition through meticulous disassembly, repair and reassembly. You will work with a team to meet KPI targets, ensuring speed, quality and customer excellence in every repair.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, replacing components, ensuring safety, and painting as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools to repair vehicle bodies and realign chassis/frames.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; weld and repaint as needed.
• Ensure work meets labor time guidelines and quality standards.
