Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Grand Junction, CO is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, aiming for speed, quality, and customer excellence within a collaborative team.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent and/or a 3-year apprenticeship; strong tool knowledge and ability to read job orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan is executed consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Repair dents, dimples and other body damage; apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and reattach parts; repaint vehicles to factory spec or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
