Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, and work closely with the team to meet KPI targets and uphold our WOW standard.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship, and ability to handle tools, bend, lift, and work safely in a bustling shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders.
• Excellent collaboration with other repairers in shop.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Repair dents, apply filler, and realign chassis and frames as needed.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass/windshields.
• Weld and fit parts, paint vehicles to factory specifications.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines and inspect final results.
