Job summary

KONE is seeking a Modernization Mechanic to join the Greater Miami territory. You will analyze, troubleshoot and install elevator modernization components, collaborating with subcontractors and contractors to meet project timelines.

Responsibilities include wiring and installing components, maintaining safety on site, and interpreting technical documentation to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in elevator modernization.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install elevator equipment in existing buildings (rails, pits, hoist-way, car and counterweight).
• Wire and install smaller components (roller guides, door track, hall buttons).
• Maintain safety standards and ensure work complies with policies.
