Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Modernization in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to lead modernization projects and crews. You will oversee safety, project planning, budgeting, and coordination with owners, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely, profitable outcomes.

Strong leadership and communication are required. The role emphasizes overseeing site progress, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry codes while maintaining excellent client relations and internal

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction industry and general management skills; or a Bachelor’s degree; or two years of branch management experience.
• Ability to write reports, proposals and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly to management and customers.
• Ability to collect data, define problems and draw conclusions.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Supervise modernization field employees and ensure adherence to company policies and objectives.
• Administer and enforce the safety program; conduct safety audits.
• Plan, direct and prioritize elevator modernization projects and manpower needs.
• Review job status using accounting reports to identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage sites from survey to completion, coordinating subcontractors as needed.
• Maintain relationships with owners, consultants, and architects.
• Review change orders, purchase orders and project approvals.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local elevator codes.
