Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in San Francisco is seeking a Project Manager for Modernization to coordinate with sales, customers and engineering to ensure specifications are met and installations run smoothly.

You will partner with field superintendents, vendors and management to keep projects on time and within budget, resolve technical issues, and maintain high customer satisfaction for financially successful modernizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 3 years of technical or sales experience in the elevator industry.
• 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role preferred.
• Solid problem‑solving skills, high sense of urgency, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing timelines, scheduling, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage new installation/modernization projects for efficiency and profitability.
• Review and book projects within one week of award and plan completion.
• Coordinate with engineering and vendors on material delivery and approvals.
• Interface with Field Superintendent to track progress and manage deadlines.
• Handle change orders and ensure on-time invoicing and 90% turnover.
• Participate in professional development programs to enhance product knowledge.
