Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Modernization in New Haven, CT. You will manage modernization projects and crews to complete work on time and within budget, while expanding the department's volume and profitability.

Responsibilities include directing field staff, enforcing safety programs, coordinating scheduling and resources, and maintaining customer relations. Knowledge of codes and company SOPs is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent management experience.
• Ability to write reports and proposals.
• Strong presentation and communication with management and customers.
• Analytical problem-solving with data.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and variables.

Responsibilities

• Supervises modernization field employees and oversees safety and performance.
• Plans, directs and prioritizes modernization projects and manpower needs.
• Reviews job status with accounting reports to identify risk and opportunity.
• Manages jobsites from survey to completion and handles customer reviews.
• Coordinates subcontractor schedule and performance on turnkey projects.
• Maintains strong relationships with owners, consultants and architects.
• Signs off on change orders, purchase orders and other approvals.
• Keeps up-to-date on federal/state/local elevator codes.
