Job summary

TK Elevator in Manhattan, NY is seeking an Operations Manager- Modernization to lead all modernization operations, oversee teams, manage budgets, and drive profitability. You will direct planning, scheduling, and execution of elevator modernization projects, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and engineering teams.

The role offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $190,000–$210,000, plus a car allowance or company vehicle and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or extensive industry and management experience).
• Two years' experience managing on a branch departmental level.
• Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervises modernization superintendents and employees; directing performance and policy adherence.
• Administers the safety program and conducts weekly safety audits.
• Plans, directs and prioritizes elevator modernization jobs with manpower and scheduling tools.
• Reviews job status with accounting reports to identify risk and opportunities.
• Manages jobsites from survey through completion and reviews progress with clients.
• Manages subcontractor schedule and performance on turnkey projects.
• Develops strong relationships with owners, consultants, construction firms and architects.
• Reviews bids, attends pre-bid meetings and provides labor/material cost input.
• Signs off on change orders, purchase orders and related approvals.
• Makes sure compliance with federal, state and local elevator codes and SOPs.
