Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Field Superintendent - New Installation to lead a 12-20 technician team, uphold safety standards, and drive on-time project delivery.

You will coordinate schedules, manage materials, work with unions, and support sales and project management with progress reviews and problem solving. The role offers growth within a global mobility and accessibility leader.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive employee relations with proven leadership skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing tradespeople
• Flexibility to be on call
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing, safe team of 12-20 field technicians by enforcing company quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily project schedules, job site readiness walkthroughs, parts/material ordering, and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through consistent site visits and communication.
• Manage manpower levels in partnership with union representatives, resolving employee relations and staffing issues.
• Support sales and project management teams with bid estimates, job progress meetings, and complaint resolution.
• Ensure all installation projects meet contractual, company, and safety requirements.
