Job summary

Schindler Group in Philadelphia seeks a Field Superintendent for New Installations (NI) to oversee elevator installation projects, lead a 12–20 technician team, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate schedules, manage manpower with union representatives, support sales and project management with bid estimates, and collaborate with engineers, service and QA teams. Base salary is competitive with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience managing tradespeople and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing, safe team of 12–20 field technicians.
• Coordinate daily project schedules, job site readiness, parts ordering and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through site visits.
• Manage manpower levels in partnership with union representatives.
• Support sales and project management with bid estimates and progress meetings.
• Ensure all projects meet safety, contractual and company requirements.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering and service teams during handovers.
