Job summary

Canton Public Schools is seeking a part-time Elementary Tutor for Multilingual Learners to support Grades K-5 students who are multilingual learners. The role involves in-class support 4 days per week, totaling 16–19.5 hours weekly from late September through late May.

Preferred candidates will have MA Elementary Certification and SEI Endorsement, with familiarity with ML learners and WIDA levels. The tutor will document progress notes and assist teachers with data-driven instruction.

Job Description

TheCanton PublicSchools is looking for part-timeelementary tutor to work with Grades K-5 elementary studentswho are multilingual learners and require extra classroom support and intervention. The tutor schedule is anticipated to be 4 days/week totaling between 16-19.5 total hours per week beginning inlate September through late May.

Preferred candidates will have familiarity with multilingual learners WIDA levels and associated skills, and scaffolds that support English language learners. Tutorswill support students in the classroom setting usingdistrict provided high quality, evidence based materials. Tutors will be required to keep notes on student progress and will participate in writing brief progress reports for students on their caseload.
