Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a qualified educator to implement the district's AKS-aligned curriculum. The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, demonstrate strong subject matter expertise, and assess student learning to guide instruction.

Responsibilities include developing instructional objectives, integrating technology, and collaborating with administrators, colleagues, and families to support student achievement within GCPS policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from PSC-approved college or university.
• Meets Georgia certification requirements in the applicable field.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences aligned with the district AKS curriculum, creating an environment supportive of student development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject area being taught.
• Develop and prioritize short- and long-term instructional objectives based on AKS, identifying prerequisite skills.
• Analyze student work to determine instructional needs and adjust plans accordingly.
• Prepare written lesson plans to support AKS objectives for all students.
• Plan appropriate assessment of student learning and evaluate resources used in instruction.
• Organize content for presentation in logical sequences and ensure effective transitions.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and communicate results to students and parents.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and establish respectful, collaborative relationships with staff and families.
• Utilize technology effectively to plan, teach, and assess student learning.
